Job Description

A Team Leader coordinates the details of daily work and strives to maintain the goals set by Management. A Team Leader is an extension of Management’s authority.

• Assign employees daily tasks and monitor dispatch and assign new/updated tasks as the dispatch changes
• Interview and hire new employees
• Train new and existing employees as required
• Prepare and conduct employee performance reviews
• Follow disciplinary procedures for those employees exhibiting unsatisfactory behavior or performance
• Monitor productivity and the quality of parts/products
• Review and sign off on weekly timesheets and monitor employees’ PTO
• Check work orders when delivered and enter proper paperwork
• Monitor parts, record sheets, paperwork, stock levels, sales orders and budget
• Enter all paperwork needed (p/o receipt to stock, w/o receipt to stock, misc. issue, w/o picklist, etc.)
• Complete cycle counts
• Complete any minor maintenance required in area and on machines 
• Work closely with Mfg. Engineering (router changes, new routers, set run times, problems with fixtures, procedures, etc.)
• Complete a monthly safety walk and continually monitor safety

Qualifications

Abilities: AS/400, Leadership skills and people skills. Confidentiality on all business matters

Education: High school graduate or equivalent.

Experience: Previous Supervisory Experience a plus
