ITS Traffic Systems is Hiring a HR Specialist Near Westlake, OH

Title: Human Resources Specialist

Department: Human Resources

Reports to: Controller

Direct Reports: None

Job Summary: The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for a variety of functions including recruiting, insurance rollout, employee engagement, and payroll processing. This role is critical in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring the smooth operation of HR-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting to interviewing and onboarding new hires. Collaborate with department managers to understand their hiring needs and ensure a seamless integration of new employees into the company culture.
  • Expert for HR platform, TriNet: Serve as overall POC for matters relating to our HR Platform, TriNet. To learn the ins and outs of the system to ensure the tool is being utilized effectively and appropriately.
  • Training: Maintain and actively handle new-hire onboarding and continuing education for employees throughout the year, which may include required and optional training opportunities.
  • Benefits Onboarding: Oversee the implementation and administration of employee insurance programs and other benefits programs. Ensure employees are informed of their benefits and guide them through the enrollment process.
  • Employee Engagement: Lead the employee engagement committee to organize events and initiatives that promote a positive work environment. This includes managing birthday announcements, work anniversaries, promotions, and coordinating both on-site and off-site events.
  • Payroll Processing: Handle the processing of payroll in a timely and accurate manner. Address any payroll-related queries from employees and resolve issues as they arise.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in HR roles with a focus on the responsibilities listed above.
  • Strong understanding of HR laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
