Job Summary

The Industrial Machine Maintenance will repair, maintain, and facilitate installation of industrial machines used in manufacturing and production operations.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of industrial machines.
• Install, maintain and rebuild production machines and facility equipment with direction from leadership.
• Equipment knowledge of forklifts, over head crane, mills, grinders, lathes.
• Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices.
• Troubleshooting and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic machinery.
• Perform simple machinist skills.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Conducts safety inspections of facilities and equipment, using lock out tag out as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Thorough and broad understanding of a variety of equipment.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, hydraulics and schematics preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Knowledge of and ability to use a computer/basic email functions.

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational school or Associates degree in related field highly preferred.
• One year of experience required; two (2) years of successful apprenticeship training preferred.
• One year of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work ten (10) hours a day.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
• Prolonged periods of standing, stretching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling required.
• Visual acuity to properly inspect and modify large and detailed portions of machinery.
• Manual dexterity to assemble, disassemble, adjust and relocate machines.
