ROLE:
IT Support Specialist

We are looking for a qualified IT Support Specialist to join our team and support our US operations locally and our Europe-based operations remotely, including the C-level executives. This will be the first IT role in our US office for the company based in the US and the incumbent will play an important role in building our IT footprint.

As IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our organization's computer systems, ensuring their smooth operation, and providing technical assistance to end-users whether on the phone, via email, or in person.

This position requires a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, exceptional troubleshooting abilities, and excellent customer service skills. A willingness to learn and grow is essential.

You will be an integral part of the Belgium-based IT Team You and therefore you will have the opportunity to work on several IT projects. We offer a hybrid working environment and, but you will be expected to work at our Watertown office (our HQ) at least 3 days a week or more. You will have the chance to travel our Belgium office from time to time to work with the rest of the team. Periodic trips to Belgium will be part of the job.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical support: Respond promptly and efficiently to end-user requests for assistance with computer hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot system problems: Identify and resolve hardware and software malfunctions, operating errors, and network connectivity issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide support for onsite A/V and other technical equipment: Ensure that equipment is working properly for meetings and that colleagues are trained on how to operate equipment.
  • Computer deployment: Responsible for onboarding/offboarding new hires and managing on-premises Office Equipment and inventory.
  • Perform system monitoring: Monitor the organization's computer systems and network infrastructure to identify and address potential problems before they impact operations.
  • Incident management: Log all technical issues reported by end-users and track them through to resolution, ensuring that problems are effectively resolved within established service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Maintain system documentation: Document troubleshooting steps, system configurations, and resolutions in a knowledge base to facilitate future issue resolution and enhance support efficiency.
  • Provide end-user support for the M365 suite and respond efficiently to user requests about the M365 platform.
  • Manage access requests to the M365 collaborative platforms (Teams, SharePoint).
  • User training and guidance: Provide training and guidance to end-users on the effective and secure use of computer systems, software applications, and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with IT team: Work closely with other IT professionals, such as system administrators, network engineers, and application developers, to resolve complex issues and improve system performance.
  • Hardware and software procurement: Assist in the evaluation, procurement, and deployment of new computer hardware, software, and peripherals as needed.


PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role with a proven track record.
  • Passionate about customer service and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize under pressure.
  • Fluent in English (French is a plus but not required).
  • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft M365 environment including Intune, Windows. M365 Suite, common software applications and hardware, Azure Active Directory TeamViewer or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate across a broad spectrum of users.
  • Stay updated with technology: Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to enhance knowledge and contribute to the continuous improvement of the IT infrastructure.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and skills, with a particular emphasis on AI-based technologies.
