Our client is seeking Senior Python Software Engineers to process and report on hundreds of millions of events every day - working with incredibly large sets of data streams. You will work closely with data, engineering, and product teams working with predictive analytics, machine learning, martech or potentially working to build out privacy and compliance capabilities

Salary: 2 yrs 120K; up to Principle Engineer 200K

Location: REMOTE WORK 100% is an option: IL, MN, CO additional locations (limited) 

How You’ll Do It

You will use your Python development skills contributing to data architecture, data ingestion and management services. You'll also contribute to developing the team’s culture and strategy. This role has the opportunity for great earning potential in the foreseeable future!! (You should ask us more about this!?)

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain pipelines to clean and structure complicated enterprise data
• Evolve infrastructure and data architecture to accommodate product needs and ensure successful implementations
• Partner with Data Analysts to assess the quality of our data and automate targeted improvements, and scale data warehousing as necessary (Redshift, DBT)
• Implement data privacy and security as necessary
• Create tools to continuously monitor, test, and optimize data pipelines, automating to allow us to streamline deployment timelines and deliver efficient tools to teams throughout the business
• Be passionate about what you build and willing to be the one who pushes the project to the finish line
• Mentor junior members and establish engineering best practices for the team
• Tech Agnostic - but committed to the best: Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Apache Airflow, AWS Tech Stack (SNS, SQS, EC2, S3, DynamoDB), ELK Stack, InfluxDB & Grafana, Docker

What We’re Looking For

• Professional Experience with Python, working and reasoning large SQL datasets,
• Experience w/ Snowflake or PostgresSQL would be a bonus! 
• Professional experience building and maintaining data pipelines (e.g. Apache Airflow)
• Fluency in SQL and understanding of NoSQL datastores like DynamoDB or Redis
• Comfortable with Linux, Docker, and AWS technologies
• Strong knowledge of data engineering
• Experience architecting data systems
• Minimum 4 years of professional software development experience

Nice to Have

• Experience working cross functionally with product and engineering teams
• Desire to wear many hats and work your tail off for a bit - great earning potential and equity available.
