Job Summary:

Software Engineers in the Cloud R&D group at Itential are responsible for developing the SaaS services and applications that are a part of our industry leading automation platform. You will have the opportunity to grow your skills in cloud native development, software engineering and software design.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

You will use your software development skills to develop the services and applications of our SaaS software platform that enables automation of network operations for our customers. You are great at solving problems, debugging, troubleshooting, designing, and implementing solutions to complex technical issues. You also enjoy ensuring that internal and external customers use our product effectively by making sure it is well tested and documented. Most importantly, you are a software developer that wants a challenging environment to continue developing your skills.

• Design and develop software as a member of an Agile team.
• Become familiar with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React.js, Docker and AWS technologies.
• Understand business requirements and how they translate to functionality.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.
• Ensure that your team's code is tested, robust, and secure.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3 years of post-graduate experience with software design and development.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering development life cycle, including source control, build process, QA and coding standards.
• Proficient with HTML, CSS, JS, and React.js with a sharp eye for detail.
• Knowledge of consuming and creating APIs.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies
• Comfortable using Linux/*nix CLI.
• Strong collaborator who works efficiently within a small team in an agile environment.
• Networking knowledge or experience is helpful but not required.
