Quality Engineer

Job description

Quality Engineer will support the plant quality group through daily involvement in on-the-floor activities and by providing assistance in areas including but not limited to product launch, corrective action resolution, reviewing incoming supplier product, maintaining key quality documentation and communicating with customers and suppliers on quality related concerns. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides daily on-the-floor assistance with any quality related issues.
  • Assists with completion of corrective actions for customer related concerns and discussing actions taken with the customer as required.
  • Completes, documents, and briefs KPI reports.
  • Non-conforming material control.
  • Documents and maintains Control Plans, FMEA and Flow Charts.
  • Ensuring required dimensional inspections are completed.
  • Reviews incoming supplier products to ensure compliance to engineering requirements and discusses any quality concerns with the supplier as required.
  • Vendor scoring and communication.
  • Assist and/or lead quality special projects.
  • Conducts periodic internal audits as part of ISO requirements.
  • Procedure writing and editing.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university (preferably in quality engineering or business management)
  • Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing industry specifically associated with activities listed above
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Experience working in an ISO, (or similar), certified manufacturing environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year dependent upon experience.
