Our large manufacturing client located in Peoria, Illinois, is looking for a Systems Engineer, to add to their team.

The main function of a systems engineer is to apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers work. A typical systems engineer analyzes user needs, and then designs, tests, and develops software to meet those needs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.

• Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.

• Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.

• Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.

• Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
• Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
• Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue.
• Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment and computer hardware and software.
• Knowledge of computer development software across multiple platforms.

Position's Contributions to Work Group:

• This position will support the development of digital products across a multitude of technology platforms and will help empower our client's customers to manage their business more efficiently. This individual will be responsible for evaluating and refining potential solutions that enhance the value of our machine products in our web solutions. This position will work between stakeholders and development teams translating customer needs to build solutions that meet customer and dealer needs. This position must have demonstrated experience delivering results within complex projects.

Education & Experience Required:

-Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer science disciplines

-5-7 years of Earthmoving equipment and/or telematic solutions experience

Technical Skills

(Required)

• Requires ability to listen to customers and stakeholders to identify new products and features.
• Experience in the development of information-based solutions for the heavy equipment industry.
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel - advanced)
• A result driven, self-starter with a unique combination of technical knowledge, business acumen and strong general and emotional intelligence.
