The Technical Proposal Writer will be responsible for the development of successful responses to RFIs and RFPs as well as various types of documentation in support of proposals. The successful candidate will have the ability to research and develop content in describing technical approaches to topics ranging from IT network/systems engineering and cybersecurity with limited assistance.

Responsibilities include:

• Research and write compelling original proposal content and review, edit, and rewrite content developed by others. Integrate content into final documents.

• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.
• Monitor proposal content to ensure compliance to RFP requirements, evaluation criteria, and technical requirements.
• Proofread, edit, and finalize proposals with unparalleled attention to detail while meeting established schedules and deadlines.

• Design and develop professional templates in line with company branding in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite, for internal and external use.
• Manage program deliverables and proposal content and documentation and libraries, ensuring content is accurate and updated on a regular basis.

Qualifications

Skills:

• Proven ability to work across departments and companies with effective communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Proven attention to detail and schedule management
• Excellent writing, grammar, and spelling ability
• Ability to work in a deadline-conscious, results-driven environment and manage multiple projects at one time.
• In depth understanding of the Shipley proposal process
• Desired: 5 years of DoD and or Federal Government contracting experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, walk, stand and climb stairs and steps. May require walking long distance from parking to work station. Occasionally, movement that requires twisting at the neck and/or trunk more than the average person, squatting/ stooping/kneeling, reaching above the head, and forward motion will be required. The employee will continuously be required to repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times. Manual and finger dexterity are essential to this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
