- Conduct initial consultations with new patients, gathering detailed medical and dental histories, addressing patient concerns, and introducing practice services and policies.
- Use active listening and empathy to build rapport and trust with patients, engaging them in decision-making processes. We believe that well-informed patients make the best decisions for their care.
- Collaborate closely with our specialists to develop treatment plans, presenting options to patients that enhance understanding of recommended procedures, timelines, and potential outcomes.
- Maximize plan acceptance and assist patients in understanding the importance/urgency of recommended treatments, and identify and address any barriers to treatment completion.
- Estimate and communicate treatment costs, verify insurance coverage, and clarify insurance benefits, coverage limits, and co-payments. Guide patients to understand payment options, including financing and payment plans.
- Schedule appointments based on treatment plans, taking into account the urgency and complexity of procedures. Optimize scheduling efficiency, minimizing gaps and managing patient flow. Manage requests to reschedule or cancel, ensuring alignment with patient needs.
- Follow-up with patients after appointments to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns. Provide ongoing support and information as needed throughout the course of treatment.
- Previous experience as a Care Coordinator, in a similar position, dental field, or sales is preferred
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases or tasks and prioritize appropriately
- Ability to work in fast-paced situations and make sound decisions quickly
- Excellent interpersonal skills and high level of compassion
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self- motivated
