Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Materials Manager to join our team. As a Materials Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the logistics, production planning, warehouse operations, and inventory control. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management and possess excellent organizational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the flow of materials throughout the organization
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely delivery of materials for production
- Monitor inventory levels and implement effective inventory control measures
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes and reduce waste
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and internal teams
- Analyze data related to material usage, production output, and inventory levels to identify areas for improvement
- Implement and maintain MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to ensure accurate forecasting of material needs
- Train and mentor team members on best practices in materials management

Qualifications

- BS degree in Business Management.

- Progressive experience in management of materials and sourcing with a design and manufacturing environment.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power-Point and Access)

- Solid communications skills, written and oral.

Skills
- Strong knowledge of logistics, production planning, warehouse operations, and inventory control
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and their application in a production environment
- Proficient in using MRP systems for material planning and forecasting
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
