This position requires someone who can lead the consumer/caregiver strategy and lead one direct report through the pre- and post-launch periods. This role also involves significant direct-to-consumer/caregiver (DTC) marketing. S/he will manage launch executions, including TV, digital creative assets, media plans, and consumer-facing materials. The role requires the execution of strategies and the deployment and planning of resources, guided by key performance indicators and financial return on investment models.This individual will work closely with alliance partners, creative and media agencies, market research, and other relevant functions. S/he will report to the US Launch Lead for this asset.Key ResponsibilitiesLead overall consumer/caregiver strategic direction; proactively identify relevant brand, customer, and competitive insights and ensure they are appropriately integrated into brand plansLead the development of branded DTC campaign, disease education, and media plans; prioritize execution and promotion mix to drive maximum valueLead other functional teams and strategic partners (e.g., agencies, alliance organization) to ensure cooperation, shared responsibility in commercialization activities, and business performanceWork in close collaboration with business analytics and market research to track brand performance of key drivers; interact regularly with sales, sales training, medical, legal, regulatory, and external agency partners to ensure flawless execution of core strategies and tacticsQualifications:Required:Bachelor's degree, MBA, or other relevant graduate or post-graduate degree5-7 years in marketing and/or selling pharmaceutical productsConsumer/caregiver marketing experience in pharma, including identifying market and customer needs and building strategic and tactical plans and brand promotionsDemonstrated ability to lead matrix teams and deliver strong resultsSense of urgency and adeptness at balancing short- and long-term priorities and managing multiple priorities effectivelyStrong strategic skill sets, including effectiveness in identifying and addressing major strategic challenges (e.g., competition) and the ability to navigate complex market environmentsKnowledge of medical/compliance/legal review processesAlliance partnership experienceUp to 15% travel will be required,* based upon business needs*Currently no/limited travel due to COVID-19Preferred:Prior experience with successfully launching a brand and/or an indicationExperience managing direct reportsPersonal Attributes:Ability to navigate within an ambiguous environmentCollaborativeHighly motivatedResults-driven with a high sense of urgencyOrganized/detail-orientedCome discover more about Otsuka and our benefit offerings; https://www.otsuka-us.com/careers-join-otsuka.Disclaimer: This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by the people assigned to this position.
