JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join one of the top construction companies in the New York Metro area for a long term, career opportunity. The ideal candidate has the ability to assist the Project Manager and Superintendent on assigned projects and provides assistance in the management of the overall project direction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

• Ability to create documentation such as RFIs, and client correspondence on issues related to the notification provisions in contracts.
• Proficient in reading and understanding construction plans and drawings.
• Preparing subcontract scopes, project close outs and working cost control systems.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 4 years of construction experience in similar position.
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture is preferred; equivalent experience and 6 years prior relevant experience will be considered as well.
• Prior healthcare or pharmaceutical construction experience is preferred.
• Strong MEP knowledge is required.
