· Assist the Crew Supervisor in planning and organizing daily work activities.
· Provide technical expertise in pipe installation, repair, and maintenance.
· Supervise crew members to ensure tasks are performed safely and according to specifications.
· Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, trenchers, and pipe-laying equipment.
· Conduct on-the-job training for crew members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout, configuration, and dimensions of piping systems, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
· Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during project execution.
· Collaborate with other team members to optimize workflow and productivity.
· Maintain open and clear communication channels with crew members, project managers, clients, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, issues, and concerns.
· Ensure that crew members comply with safety regulations, use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow safe work practices to prevent accidents, injuries, and property damage.
· Keep track of work progress, assess productivity levels, and identify any obstacles or challenges that may arise during the project. Take proactive measures to address issues and ensure that work stays on track.
Qualifications:
· A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
· At least 2 years of related experience.
