Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities

What We’re Looking For:

If you are passionate about HR and driving process improvement then we want to talk to you about our Senior HR Specialist, People Operations on the Iridium Human Resources team. As a Senior HR Specialist, People Operations, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our people programs and processes on track, evolving, and thriving! In your role, you will be exposed to, and have the ability to impact the Iridium employee life-cycle, shaping the employee experience by executing, administering, and scaling thoughtful business critical and people-focused programs.

What You’ll Do:

  • You will partner with stakeholders to develop new solutions to existing people challenges and opportunities, and collaborate with others across the business to scale our programs
  • Serve as a project manager for HR projects and initiatives, driving process automation
  • Proactively monitor changes in federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, interpreting their potential impact to our existing policies and procedures and the organization to ensure continued compliance
  • Drive knowledge management and communication efforts to support the adoption of human resources programs and policies and improve engagement among managers and employees
  • Scope, evaluate, and implement people systems and tools
  • Partner with the other HR teams and IT to ensure thoughtful implementation of tools and ensure successful ongoing administration, maintaining data integrity throughout
  • Drive the successful execution of recurring activities such as performance, surveys, open enrollment, leader training, etc.
  • Play a key role in the HR budget process, ensuring reconciliation

Experience & Education Requirements / EEO

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
  • 8 years of relevant experience in the human resources industry
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey products, deliverables, analyses, and/or issues to groups outside of your team or those who are unfamiliar with the topic
  • Have confidence and be able to easily build relationships with leadership and colleagues outside of your team
  • Possess an analytical mindset, with the ability to understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions and come up with out-of-the-box solutions
  • Be proactive in providing feedback and be enthusiastic in sharing your knowledge with others
  • Capable of prioritizing your own tasks and potentially the tasks of others while making sure deadlines are met

Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:

  • Experience with iCims, ADP, HRsoft

We’ll also need you to:

  • Be able to travel up to 10%

Work Environment:

This position primarily works in the company office or in a home office. The position is largely sedentary with the majority of the position sitting in a chair and working with a computer. The role uses basic office equipment including a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.
