Description
Performs office activities for daily operations for the home health agency.
Maintains fiscal ledgers for the home health agency and performs billing functions to patient payers.
Billing functions include; verification of coverage, preparation and processing of claims, checking for accuracy, correction of billing errors, and resubmission of claims, posting payments, maintaining logs and summaries of charges and reimbursements, reconciliation of deposits and receivables, and preparation of financial and statistical reports. Has full access to patient health information.
Requirements
High School Graduate or equivalent.
One year of accounting, medical insurance filing and bookkeeping experience, or home health billing or office experience required.
Must have computer skills including knowledge of business software. Attention to details and ability to work independently
Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid billing/claim manuals preferred.
Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position including bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
SCHEDULE: MON-FRI, 8AM-5PM
