INCOME MAINTENANCE CASEWORKER -ENERGY PROGRAM
Iredell County is pleased to partner with NC Community Colleges Apprenticeship and offer an Apprenticeship Job Opportunity as an Income Maintenance Caseworker in the Energy Program. The position is full-time Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 5:00 pm with benefits such as: health insurance, dental, vision, and life insurance at no cost to the employee; an on-site Wellness Clinic at no cost to the employee; Wellness incentives to earn up to $500 per year; competitive vacation time and sick time; 5% 401(k) County contribution; County contribution to the Local Government Retirement System; voluntary benefits such as short-term and long-term disability; accidental death and dismemberment coverage; additional life insurance coverage; Cancer plan; etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
No experience is required.
Must pass pre-employment drug test.
Must be able to pass Criminal Background Check
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a valid NC driver’s license.
SALARY:
Starting Salary: $15.98 per hour
All training hours are paid time
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship Program, you will be qualified to perform the duties of an Income Maintenance Caseworker I in the Energy Program. The duties of the position are:
The primary purpose of this position is to take and process Energy Program applications. This consist of interviewing clients and collecting and verifying relevant eligibility requirements.
Utilize the NCFAST system to gather and input information into the web data-base.
Determine eligibility requirements based on the status of the heating / cooling system of the home and the health status of the household members.
Work with other community partners to provide referrals to the client when deemed necessary.
Process Energy Program applications from a variety of sources including in-person, telephone, mail, e-pass, e-mail and / or fax.
