Job Purpose:

The Ammonia Refrigeration Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of industrial refrigeration projects that use ammonia as a refrigerant. The project manager will ensure the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration equipment, maintain compliance with safety regulations, and provide technical expertise to clients. In addition, the project manager will be responsible for coordinating and communicating with team members, clients, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, execute, and manage all aspects of industrial refrigeration projects that use ammonia as a refrigerant
• Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource requirements
• Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation plans
• Communicate project goals, objectives, and progress to team members, clients, and vendors
• Coordinate and schedule project activities, including equipment installation, maintenance, and repair
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies
• Manage project budgets, expenses, and invoicing
• Maintain accurate records of project activities, including progress reports, schedules, and budgets
• Provide technical expertise to clients and recommend upgrades or modifications to improve system efficiency
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients and management
• Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or related field
• 5 years of experience in project management of industrial refrigeration systems that use ammonia as a refrigerant
• Knowledge of complex ammonia refrigeration systems and safety regulations
• Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and supplies up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
• Ability to work in cold temperatures and wear personal protective equipment
• Ability to climb ladders, use power tools, and perform manual labor
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time and work in a variety of environments
