IQVIA is Hiring a Director, Data Management Near Bridgewater, NJ

Job Overview
This position will run IQVIA Patient Support Services data assets including Access, Affordability, Call Center and In-Home Clinical Services. This includes building solutions to connect patient data assets in a compliant manner that will serve as the foundation for driving patient analytics. Responsible for maintaining SOPs and governance to ensure stable and compliant access to the data. This person will design or modify state-of-the-art database designs to solve complex database processing problems, while considering existing and future needs, capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results. Provides technical leadership and direction to database administration team members and associates. May provide management direction to database administration team members.
Essential Functions
• Designs or modifies state-of-the-art database designs to solve complex database processing problems, while considering existing and future needs, capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results.
• Provides technical leadership and direction to database administration team members and associates. May provide management direction to database administration team members.
• Performs complex database analysis and database design tasks requiring advanced techniques on the forefront of technology.
• Ensures that databases meet required operational standards and performance levels (as measured by reliability, response time, query execution time, etc.).
• Prepares cost analyses and justification for difficult database systems.
• Acts as senior consultant for lower staff providing technical advice and consultation on database analysis and database design reviews and evaluates the capabilities of potential database design and implementation approaches as well as backup and recovery strategies.
• Activities include: denormalization, developing data archival schemes, sizing, creation of data definition language and database objects, referential integrity and security enforcement and application optimization.

• Participates in the administration, monitoring, tuning and support of databases in the production environment. Establishes and maintains data governance, secure access and compliance across patient data assets

Client-Related Functions

-Assist with designing and building out specific client requirements in the databases

-Ensuring data integration for client projects is high quality and fully operational including third-party integrations

-Respond and resolve data inquiries from clients and internal stakeholders

-Ensure data quality through automated QC

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience
• Twelve (12) years of information technology experience Req. Eight years’ experience with SQL Server/Oracle or other relational databases in database admin, SQL coding, SSIS, ETL, etc.

• Knowledge of IQVIA products, systems, database management standards and protocol. Familiarity with patient support services such as copay, hub and in-home clinical services preferred• Strong PC applications (Microsoft Office; e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills and a familiarity with Internet applications.
• Familiar with third party software platforms.
• Ability to proactively identify complex problems and needs and develop solutions/recommendations to solve problems

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $137,000.00 - $257,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
