IQVentures is looking for a Charge Off Collections Lead to join our team and be part of a dynamic corporate culture dedicated to supporting our team members. Our Collections Leads use their customer service and negotiation skills to work with customers facing payment difficulties and assist customers in settling their accounts. Whether it’s accepting payments over the phone or setting up a payment plan, our Collections Leads handle sensitive customer information daily with the highest of integrity. The Collections Lead serves as a Subject Matter Experts on the team and are heavily involved in assisting new hires and other teammates with training and coaching. As Collections Lead, you’ll come to the table with the dedication and work ethic we expect of every team member, and we’ll provide you with the training, tools, and resources you’ll need to succeed.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Contact account holders with past due balances to negotiate payment arrangements or settlements within set guidelines.
• Advise past due account holders on payment questions or making payment arrangements.
• Record transactions and customer interactions with accuracy and detail.
• Ensure all federal and state guidelines, including FDCPA, are followed while meeting defined Quality Assurance requirements and other measures of success.
• Assist unavailable team members and management by helping with accounts requiring follow-up.
• Oversee team members in the absence of the Collections Manager by answering questions, providing updates, and explaining new processes.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and recognize performance on the floor to promote an encouraged and confident work environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years of previous telesales or collections experience
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Listening skills with the ability to ask probing questions, understand concerns, and overcome objections
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced business environment
• Ability to type 40 wpm
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Physical demands for this position frequently include: the ability to remain in a stationary position, move about freely inside and occasionally outside of the office, and the operation of mechanical controls, such as a keyboard

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Bilingual English/Spanish
