IQuasar software solutions is Hiring a Public affairs specialist Near Washington, DC

We are seeking an applicant to serve as the point of contact between the Program Office and other NAVSEA organizations. Performs a variety of administrative and action management duties and responsibilities requiring knowledge of office routine and an understanding of the organization, programs, and procedures related to the work of the Program Office including, but not limited to, preparing briefs, presentations, funding documents in support of Program office objectives. Serve as a trusted adviser to the senior leadership in all areas of the organization including the development, direction, and continuity of policies, programs, and operations.

  • Serves as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders to address complex inquiries, usually on short notice, that potentially require multiple sources of data and cross-organizational response.
  • Serves as a trusted adviser to the senior leadership in all areas of the organization including the development, direction, and continuity of policies, programs, and operations.
  • Analyze and monitor program/project management progress and health to achieve objectives timely and effective. Provides review and follow-up of organization-directed assignments and assures that the organizational goals, objectives, and deadlines are met. Advise management on the best course of action to take for accomplishing established goals.
  • Exercise programmatic and operational review/evaluation techniques and methods necessary to advise senior-level officials of major issues and concerns and formulate recommendations.
  • Devise methods for securing required information. Identify and implement best practices.
  • Provide expert-level oral and written communication skills to serve as a consultant and advisor to senior leadership. Facilitate communication and action management at multiple echelons/levels, ensuring talking points and deliverables are in line with the executive messaging and expectations.
  • Exhibit analytical skills to include the ability to identify patterns and anomalies to assist in making clear decisions during high-pressure situations.
  • Maintain a close and highly responsive relationship with the day-to-day activities of the office and the Directorate.
  • Works independently, receiving a minimum amount of detailed guidance.
  • Handles differing situations, problems, and deviations in the work office according to general instructions, priorities, duties, policies, and program goals.
  • May assist with special assignments, studies, or actions.
  • Performs a variety of administrative and action management duties and responsibilities requiring knowledge of office routine and an understanding of the organization, programs, and procedures related to the work of the office including, but not limited to, the following based on overall organizational needs:
  • Strategic communications, Public Affairs, Information Technology, Financial Analysis, Human Resources, Workforce Development and Culture, and Ceremonials
  • Skill in office management and administrative operation requirements, strategies, techniques, and activities.
  • Congressional Liaison or Congressional Staffing.
  • Familiar with Congressional correspondence and document preparation.

Required education and experience:

  • Active Secret clearance is required.
  • Bachelor's level degree or equivalent experience in a business or technical field or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience in submarine program/project management, operations, maintenance, modernization, submarine life cycle management, research analysis, financial/cost analysis, or a related area.

Preferred education and experience:

  • Experience/knowledge with Navy In-Service Submarine Programs
  • Experience working within Naval Sea Systems Command
  • Experience supporting senior military or civilian executives.
  • Active Duty Navy enlisted, junior officer, military executive assistant/action officer, or NAVSEA experience is a significant plus.
  • Must be highly reliable and demonstrate personal initiative to operate in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Familiar with Congressional correspondence and document preparation.
