Role summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Cybersecurity Engineer with a proven track record in the private sector and U.S. government agencies. The ideal candidate specializes in architecting, planning, deploying, and maintaining secure systems. This position demands a seasoned Cybersecurity Engineer with extensive experience in cloud security, particularly in AWS and Microsoft Azure environments. The candidate should demonstrate expertise in security compliance assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management, aligning with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

What will you be engaged in day-to-day?

• Collaborating with multi-agency AWS-based enterprise systems, ensuring security compliance assessments.
• Assessing systems in AWS & Azure for compliance configuration and compliance assessments.
• Implementing security best practices for NIST 800-53 compliance.
• Assuming the role of Security Control Assessor (SCA), assessing program security control compliance.
• Making crucial decisions on ATO/ATP based on agency and program requirements.
• Analyzing data security controls, devise strategies to address gaps, and ensure compliance with NIST 800-53 Revision 5.
• Implementing strategies for addressing vulnerabilities found through adversarial attack simulations.
• Creating security requirements to implement a Zero Trust architecture.
• Ensuring compliance with security policies involving frameworks (NIST, ISO) and regulations (SOX, PCI, HIPAA).
• Demonstrating leadership in completing security assessment projects.
• Coordinating and schedule penetration tests between multiple customers, ensuring compliance with all required documentation and Rules of Engagement.
• Engaging in red teaming, penetration tests, and security compliance assessments for customers.
• Staying updated on emerging technologies, tools, processes, and vendors to align with Federal and enterprise requirements.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

What qualifications will help you succeed?

• BS or MS in Computer Science (network security emphasis) or Information Technology, or 15 years of experience, of which 5 must be in a senior role.
• Public Trust clearance is a plus.
• CEH, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, Network , Security , CCNA, MCP/MCSE.
• Proven experience in architecting, planning, and deploying secure systems in AWS and Microsoft Azure environments.
• Python, PowerShell, Bash Scripting, SQL, C , JavaScript.
• Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team.
