Temporary, VP, Media Director

Golin Chicago is currently looking for an experienced, highly motivatedtemporary VP Director to lead integrated teams to greatness! This person will have the capes and intuitive "know-how" to drive Hispanic media strategy and execution for Verizon Value Brands.

We are looking for someone who can join us in a Freelance capacity and can commit to 120 over the next 4-months.

What You'll Do - specifically through the lens of Hispanic market media strategy:

• Serve as a key day-to-day client contact specifically tied to Hispanic media strategy; Participate in and attend client meetings
• Provide client counsel on tactical matters linked to strategic plans
• Proactively generate new ideas and opportunities for the development of strategic client plans
• Develop targeted media lists and keep your clients and teams up to date on the reporters covering the space
• Assist with supervision and development of junior team members
• Proofing and writing a variety of deliverables including but not limited to: communications plans, key messages, Op-eds, pitches, public statements and social media assets.
• Stay on top of industry best practices, client and competitor brand activity, and ensure Golin delivers game-changing ideas and solutions
• Shape and articulate POVs on media angles to teams and clients
• Collaborate with teams across multiple disciplines and geographies and successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges
• Interact with clients to present strategic recommendations addressing challenges and opportunities, as well as in "think on your feet" situations

What You Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline and 10 years of related professional communications experience
• A proven track record in account management, account growth, and leadership of integrated teams
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent writing, copy-editing, and proof-reading skills

Please note: We are open to considering qualified remote candidates in other locations.

Golin has included the base salary range or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: a candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience; actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; and market considerations. Hourly rate: $145/hour.
