Position Information Position Title General Merchandise and Operations Specialist Job Description The General Merchandise and Operations Specialist promotes the College Store via promotional sales events, social media, and community and internal outreach.
This person is responsible for designing and ordering Reiver Gear in addition to ordering and maintaining inventory of gifts, food, school supplies and electronics.
The General Merchandise and Operations Specialist creates merchandise displays, oversees daily sales operations including customer service, point of sales system, balancing drawers, and is responsible for monthly and end of year general merchandise inventories.
School year Hours :
Monday through Thursday 9 : 00am to 5 : 30pm
Fridays : 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm
Some weekends and evenings.
Summer Hours :
Monday Friday 8 : 00am 4 : 30pm

Physical Demands Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and sit and / or stand for extended periods of time. Use hands to operate a computer keyboard, telephone and other basic office equipment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear and use a phone. Reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, strong management and organizational skills, reasoning / analysis, ability work with minimal supervision, high degree of problem-solving, decision-making, and high degree of interpersonal skills is required.
