Ambassador and Peer Mentor-Aviation Maintenance Student ONLY
If part time, projected hours (per week)
assigned by the Dean
Job Description
Currently looking for two Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) students to be program ambassadors and peer mentors to other students in the AMT program.
This is an 10-month grant funded position. There may be a possibility to continue once the grant funding period ends.
Duties
Attend AMT recruitment events and activities, including informational sessions, facility tours, and hands-on demonstrations.
Mentor other students in the AMT program.

Council Bluffs
Required Qualifications
Aviation maintenance student in good academic standing
Dependable, outgoing, and enthusiastic
Organizational & time management skills
Must relate well with students and faculty
Promote leadership, mentorship, and academic excellence
Ability to work with diverse group
Preferred Qualifications
Physical Demands
Requires prolonged standing or sitting. Requires frequent bending, stooping or stretching. May require heavy lifting depending on assignment and lab. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
Requires the safe use of electrical equipment. Ability to use hands to operate a computer keyboard, telephone and other basic office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear and use a phone. Reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, and organizational skills, reasoning/analysis, ability work with minimal supervision, high degree of problem-solving, decision-making, and high degree of interpersonal skills is required. Work is routinely performed in an office environment.
Hiring process includes ability to pass a background check, a valid U.S Driver’s license, and a good driving record.
Pay Rate
$11.00
