Iowa Heartlanders is Hiring an Account Executive Sales & Service Near Coralville, IA

Our Sales team creates opportunities for our community to experience the fun, entertainment, and lasting memories that accompany Iowa Heartlanders hockey games. We are an organization with ambitions to set the standard for professionally-affiliated ECHL hockey teams.
The Account Executive Sales & Service position is for ambitious, professional, self-motivated individuals. This position is responsible for selling Season Ticket Memberships and individual game group sales. You will develop new customer relationships and deepen relationships with existing fans. You will also provide support for the execution of gameday activities and events.
As our Account Executive, YOU:
  • Thrive to succeed. You are at the center of our business, whether selling tickets to a first-time fan or assisting in the retention of a current season ticketholder. You thrive on success and live for the hustle. You love networking and meeting new people. You’ll actively research and prospect new sales leads for season ticket packages, group sales, and premium seating experiences.
  • Build and maintain lasting relationships. You’ll maintain regular touchpoints to stay connected to our customers and our community to meet their needs and successfully grow the game of hockey. You always know what is going on and can foresee ways to surprise and delight because you know and listen to our customers. Being an advocate for our organization, polite in your interactions, timely and professional will lead to YOUR success.
  • Be a cultural centerpiece. Your interaction with our employees, fans and community is constant. People see you as a supportive resource, a critical part of our team, as well as an ambassador for the Heartlanders’ culture and brand. You will interact with our players and our fans during season ticket member and community events. You’ll share our mission and our story while promoting the sport of hockey. You present the best version of yourself and the Iowa Heartlanders brand, both on and off the ice.
  • Deliver exceptional experiences. You are a helper. You are someone who listens to and anticipates our fans’ needs and desires. You solve problems before anyone even knows they’re there with a solution that exceeds their expectations. Through proactive and genuine communication, you will engage and delight fans. On game day, you’ll be there to further your connection with our fans by drawing them to our ticket table to discuss our products and services.
 YOU ARE A(N):
  • Professional-level hustler. You are confident in cold-calling. You develop new client relationships and grow existing ones. You want to win. Every. Day.
  • Continuous Learner. Your ears and mind are always open. You consistently want to improve, yearn for insight and knowledge, and soak in the experience of those around you. You take calculated risks and aren’t afraid of making mistakes because you know the value of learning from those. You are always looking for ways to grow and adapt and are always ready for a challenge.
  • Day Maker. You do what it takes to get the job done and often, even more than what it takes. You strive to go above and beyond, exceeding all expectations and thrive in an environment that requires you to step out of your comfort zone for the sake of putting joy to someone else’s experience.
  • Positive Executor. You believe big ideas reap even bigger rewards when managed effectively. Everything you do touches people, so flawless execution is non-negotiable. Your work can be fast-paced, and it can be easy to lose sight of the details, but that’s where the magic is at. With ruthless prioritization, you focus on getting things done in a positive manner, quickly and flawlessly. Of course, you’re not perfect, so when mistakes are made, you take responsibility and issue meaningful apologies when you’re wrong.
  • Servant Leader. In the Heartland, everything we do is grounded in serving. You serve our organization, each other, our fans and our community. You inspire those around us to dream more, learn more, do more and become more.
 THE IOWA HEARTLANDERS WILL:
  • Listen to you. We need your thoughts, ideas and passion to reach our organizational goals. You talk, we’ll listen.
  • Treat you like an adult. We aren’t a babysitting service; we play professional hockey. We will trust you to get the work done in a way that enhances the organization. We measure output and impact, not hours worked.
  • Support you. We promise you'll be surrounded by people who share your desire for success. We also promise to deliver a high-quality, valuable experience that will advance your career, be that in the sport of hockey or another professional avenue.
  • Commit to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. We foster inclusivity by providing a safe, positive and welcoming environment for you, all community members and employees regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, background or experience.
  • Provide generous PTO and the option for Health Insurance.
THE FINE PRINT:
  •  Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
  • Experience: At least one (1) year of experience in group events and/or ticket sales, or equivalent
  • Experience tracking communications and correspondence with clients using a CRM system preferred
  • Successful track record of achieving sales goals
  • A positive commitment to providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must be able to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • In accordance with the ADA, this role requires stated physical duties. Should an accommodation be requested, Heartlanders Hockey LLC will evaluate the request and provide reasonable accommodations.
  • Applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
