Description Summary

Iowa Central is looking for a Motorcycle Safety adjunct instructor to provide classroom training and on-the-road instruction

Examples of Duties

• Fueling provided motorcycles.
• Conducting pre -use inspections. Correct any issues that arise from inspections.
• Assisting with setting range exercises and riding demonstrations according to MSF and DOT standards.
• May include sweeping lot to prepare for class.
• Determine completion of the required online 3 hours class, verify certificates of completion
• Demonstrating and conducting range exercises as outlined in the MSF curriculum.
• Conducting classroom along with range and riding sessions.
• Evaluate and test students.
• Ensure safety of students and others participating in the class.
• Ensure the appropriate protective clothing and helmets are worn by the students.
• Check student forms for completeness and accuracy.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Motorcycle endorsement.
• Successful completion of the MSF’s BRC course.
• Successful completion of the Rider Coach Prep (RCP) course.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong communication skills or teaching experience.
• Work with populations having diverse values and/or coming from varied cultures and backgrounds.
