Position Summary:

Invivyd is seeking a dedicated and detailed Accounting Manager to join our fast-paced and collaborative team. This role will manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting and finance team and aspects of the general ledger and month end close process. This role is also responsible for overseeing the corporate accounting, treasury, accounts payable, payroll and equity functions. A successful candidate will be highly motivated, have strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn and take on a variety of assignments.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and oversee monthly and quarterly close procedures, including preparing/reviewing journal entries and preparing/reviewing balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies and procedures
• Maintain the general ledger, including account, department and project coding
• Provide management and leadership to Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll and Equity functions
• Perform key treasury tasks, including cash and bank account management
• Perform key procure-to-pay tasks, including vendor management and corporate card programs
• Review semi-monthly payroll processing and wire and ACH payment transactions
• Support FP&A with various budget and forecasting activities
• Ensure compliance with global, federal, state, and local financial requirements by collaborating with legal and our third-party vendors
• Ensure documentation is compiled and maintained in support of legal, regulatory, and audit requirements
• Collaborate with various accounting and finance team members, cross-functional departments, vendors, and customers to achieve quarterly, monthly, and ad-hoc deliverables
• Assist with the quarterly financial review and year-end financial audit process, including internal control testing with our external auditors
• Provide oversight of the continuous development and management of internal controls under SOX 404 compliance, including recommendations for business process improvements
• Support the accounting and finance team with various analyses and ad hoc projects
• Assist with special projects and company initiatives, such as system implementations and business process improvements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
• 5-7 years of accounting or finance experience
• pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is a plus
• background in public accounting is a plus
• preferably in a SOX 404 compliant company
• Experience working with NetSuite, FloQast, Gappify, ADP and/or Concur is a plus
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively direct and supervise a dedicated team
• Strong knowledge of fundamental accounting principles, including U.S. GAAP and SOX 404 requirements, and financial reporting processes
• Commitment to ethical behavior and adherence to all company policies and statutory requirements
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with others
• Good interpersonal skills, including ability to translate financial concepts to individuals at all levels, including finance and non-finance
• Ability to prioritize a varying degree of tasks in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
• Ability to maintain a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional skepticism
• Ability to identify inefficiencies, provide suggestions and drive positive change
