Onsite South of Madison WI
Qualifications
BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalency in related education and professional work experience
FinTech, banking/lending experience is helpful
8 years of work experience in a software development role
4 years of experience in a combination of the following:
- Cloud-based infrastructure, AWS preferred, Agile team, DevOps, and modern tech stacks
- Demonstrated knowledge of microservices architecture, application development lifecycle, event-driven and asynchronous architecture, object-oriented design, etc.
- .NET Core, C#; development of RESTful API services. Certifications and additional experience with languages such as Python a plus.
- MySQL, Dynamo, or similar database experience
- Azure DevOps and Pipelines; CI/CD a plus
- Git or an equivalent distributed version-control system / repo
- Experience with or a willingness to learn to read COBOL and JCL code a plus
Proven ability to collaborate on designs, estimates, and delivery of complex development tasks while acting as a proactive team member in an Agile development environment
Creates clean and maintainable code following coding standards and secure coding requirements
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Drives innovation and delivers high-quality products that meet customer needs
Willingness to go beyond typical job duties to help the team meet sprint commitments
Proficient in verbal and written communication for both technical and business audiences
Continually enhance and share knowledge in application development best practices, technologies, methodologies, and standards
Willingly acquires, applies, and trains others in new technical skills driven by business needs or technological advancements
As an experienced Software Developer, you'll work closely with product owners, stakeholders, and other talented developers to design and implement solutions. You'll develop, test, implement, document and maintain high quality business systems software solutions using the latest programming languages, frameworks, tools and maintaining and improving the software. The individual in this position will take a lead role on complex initiatives and will mentor staff as needed.
