We are seeking an experienced and multifaceted Director of Security who is adept at crafting, planning and implementing security and access control programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the Security Department incorporating new technology into a seamless safer experience for guests and team members.

This is a full-time role based out of our Inglewood office and is eligible for our competitive benefit offerings, including health insurance, Wellbeing Allowance and 401(k) with company contribution. Due to the nature of this industry, the candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weeknights, select weekends, and holidays.

What You Will Do

• Plan, develop and implement programs to ensure the safety and security of all guests, team members, performers, public officials, executive management, service partners and clients.
• Provide effective direction to team members in emergency response situations; update and manage facility Emergency Operating Plans with regular updates and exercises. Assess, develop and oversee the execution of security strategies and plans as the need arises to secure building perimeters, access points, team member work areas, Command Center and Loading Dock.
• Oversee operations of critical state of the art CCTV, access control, radio communications and select building management systems within the Command Center and Loading Dock
• Coordinate security staffing operations during events and respond to incidents as required; coordinate the scheduling of external event staffing personnel including, but not limited to, off duty law enforcement.
• Lead all aspects of recruitment, onboarding, training, development and scheduling of 24/7 building security team operations.
• Plan and schedule event day medical staffing and respond to medical incidents as required.
• Establish and maintain relationships with local, City, State and government security organizations to ensure effective communication, coordination and compliance with security issues.
• Oversee internal and external security investigations and collaborate with law enforcement agencies.
• Work closely with Team Security, NBA, visiting team and show touring security personnel to ensure security measures are coordinated and in place.
• Execute NBA Arena Security Procedures & Guidelines
• Manage and participate in the development and administration of the Security Department annual budget; forecast staffing, training, equipment, materials, and supply budget requirements; monitor expenditures; implement adjustments as necessary.
• Oversee security operational training standards including the dissemination and implementation of the latest technology as well as employee training and development.
• Manage and maintain team member identification and access control systems.
• Lead regular event security and venue safety briefings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct routine industry operational reviews; recommend modifications to Intuit Dome security and safety programs, policies, and procedures as deemed appropriate.
• Interpret and apply City, State and Federal policies, procedures, laws and regulations.
• Oversee the purchasing and ordering of security related goods.
• On-call 24/7, as needed and based on Intuit Dome events and other activities.
• Acts as "Manager on Duty" with other senior team members as assigned.
• Performs all other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Your Background, Skills, and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field. (advance degree preferred)
• Seven years direct industry experience in security-related field.
• Supervisory and management experience with an event-based work force.
• Possess a detailed knowledge of sports & entertainment venue event planning and related activities.
• Experience with governmental resources, including police and fire departments, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, FBI and other local, state and federal resources.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills.
• Thorough knowledge of physical security systems, including CCTV, fire alarm, access control and radio communication systems.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in crisis management, investigation skills, security technology, life safety, risk management, payroll, and scheduling are required.
• Experience with budgeting and creating event staffing estimates.
• Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
• Knowledge of relevant legal and compliance regulations.
• Demonstrated dedication with the ability to lead projects from origin through execution.

Compensation

• $120,000 - $150,000 annual compensation. Compensation package offered will be based on multiple individualized factors, including a candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
