Job Summary & Essential Functions:

Prepare cost estimates and price quotations for assigned assemblies and services.

• Set up quote into standard quote templates under assigned quote number
• Analyze, compare and interpret detailed information related to the assembly or service being quoted
• Interface with suppliers and internal departments to obtain information for quoting
• Develop accurate cost information for labor and materials as required for each project
• Create labor routers for new assemblies and ensure existing routers reflect actual production time
• Prepare cost estimates and price quotations for existing customers on new and existing assemblies
• Prepare cost estimates and price quotations for new customers
• Make recommendations on proceeding with bid process based upon factors that influence costs
• Make recommendations on make versus buy parts
• Provide training and guidance to new and lower level quote analysts on all aspects of quoting

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Ability to conceptualize and understand technical reports, data, drawings etc
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and link to supplier capabilities
• Intermediate level in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook); ERP
• Strong computation and analytical skills
• Ability to negotiate professionally
• Ability to effectively communicate in all forms with others inside the organization
• Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to produce quality results
• Ability to problem solve issues involving multiple variables and limited standardization
• Ability to multitask effectively and adapt within a rapidly changing environment

Required Experience & Education: 

• Bachelor's degree in related field 
• Minimum 2 years of relevant job experience 
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
