Job Summary:

Interstate Wholesale Fence, a leading wholesale fence manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Assistant Transportation Manager to oversee and assist our transportation operations efficiently. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the transportation of goods, ensuring compliance with regulations, and optimizing routes to meet delivery schedules.

Duties:

- Plan and coordinate transportation operations to ensure timely delivery of goods

- Manage and optimize transportation routes to minimize costs and enhance efficiency

- Oversee the maintenance and repair of vehicles to ensure they are in optimal working condition

- Monitor driver schedules, performance, and compliance with safety regulations

- Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to streamline transportation processes

- Implement strategies to improve overall transportation operations

Requirements:

- Proven experience as an Assistant Transportation Manager or similar role in the logistics industry

- In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices

- Strong leadership and organizational skills to effectively manage a team of drivers

- Excellent communication skills to interact with various stakeholders

- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to enhance transportation operations

Pay: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
