This position is not just a driving position. Interscapes NON-CDL Delivery Drivers are a fundamental part of our company’s success providing safe, prompt delivery of cabinetry/millwork in a professional and courteous manner that will generate a positive impact and satisfy our customers. This is a physical and fast-paced job where you will be moving all day completing assigned tasks and deliveries. You will be responsible for loading and unloading commercial cabinetry, checking the ship list for accurate delivery, and driving various sized box trucks all over the twin cities metro area.

Essential Duties and responsibilities 

• Represent Interscapes in a safe and professional manner.
• Load and deliver cabinetry to the job site by following a predetermined daily schedule.
• Accountable for the product being loaded, unloaded and delivered.
• Communicate to the shop by calling in any material that may be damaged or missing on the job site.
• Load and unload materials delivered daily to Interscapes by vendor trucks.
• Pick up and deliver various materials and product to the job sites, as requested.
• Keep trucks clean inside and out, and report any defects.
• Follow our company usage policy for truck safety and operation.
• Work harmoniously with other team members to create a positive work environment.

 Qualifications and Skills

• Reliable and safety-minded.
• Proven positive and professional work attitude.
• Motivated and focused, willing to learn and contribute.
• Demonstrate ability to drive “safe” in various road conditions.
• Complete work in an efficient and accurate manner with the highest quality standards.
• Ability to work under deadlines and physically demanding conditions.
• Physically able to lift up-to 75 pounds, up to 125 with assistance.
• Possess the coordination required in the handling of heavy materials.
• Ability to read city maps, use GPS and have an understanding of geographic area.

Other Requirements/Experience:

• 21 years of age or older.
• Clean Driving Record (No DUI's, DWI's or more than 3 speeding tickets in last 3 years)
• Class C or D valid license; Class A or B, a plus.
• Must pass DOT drug screening and alcohol test.
• Must pass DOT physical test to receive a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Working Environment

• Performance of duties will be: in the production shop; at multiple shipping-receiving docks and construction job sites; and driving various-sized box trucks in variable road conditions; 40 hours per week, with some overtime possible.
• Duties also require the ability to work in an environment with temperature variations.
• Exposure to loud noise, saw dust and other production elements at the shop and on construction job sites.
• Normal delivery and working hours are 5:00 am to 2:00 pm.
