POSITION SUMMARY:

The Creative Content Manager will create, innovate, and launch video, photography, stories, and campaigns that engage key audiences to support ISB’s ambitious goals for enrollment, advancement, community engagement, and other priorities outlined in the Strategic Plan. The successful candidate will have a strong appreciation for a multilingual, multicultural community and be willing to engage deeply with the School and its constituents to develop compelling content across critical functions, including academics, admissions, advancement, student life, and athletics.

The position will report to the Director of Strategic Engagement and work closely with the School’s Communications, Admissions, and Advancement personnel, in addition to faculty, coaches, and club coordinators. They will be an active participant in the Admissions/Marketing Group. This is an in-person position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee comprehensive day-to-day social media management for the school, including planning, content creation, and measurement. Responsible for capturing and editing photography and short-form videos for social media that advance the School’s mission and goals and align with the brand. Evaluate the effectiveness of content and recommend appropriate changes.
  • Identify new ways to engage the School’s constituents through storytelling – including prospective families/students, parents, alumni, former families, and donors – through social media, digital platforms, the website, email campaigns, and more.
  • Serve as the School’s day-to-day photographer, photographing school activities and events for the website, social media, presentations, and other marketing materials.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to the School’s professional videography and photography partners and oversee professional video and photo shoots as needed, including scheduling coordination.
  • Manage the school’s “no-photo” database.
  • Collect, create, and maintain a digital library of images and videos and support School personnel by updating presentations as needed.
  • Update digital screens across campus with relevant content and announcements.
  • Work with the School’s third-party digital marketing partner to support the implementation of PPC and paid social media campaigns; coordinate efforts with the Director of Strategic Engagement and the Admissions/Marketing Committee.
  • Support ad hoc website updates, as needed, including recommendations for photography.
  • Keep pace with industry trends and recommend innovative improvements to the School’s processes.

This position offers the opportunity to further support the School’s marketing efforts, including graphic design, SEO, and writing, depending on interests and skills. Some nights and weekends required; travel opportunities may be available in alignment with the position’s goals.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred
  • One to three years of experience, which can include internship positions; a portfolio or samples to include social media management, photography, or video editing should be provided at the time of application
  • Strong command of the English and French languages preferred
  • Understanding of the independent school environment helpful
  • Effective communication skills (visual, oral, writing, non-verbal)
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively engage a diverse population
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines efficiently and accurately
  • An attention to detail with a consistent ability to apply sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Ability to be flexible, effectively manage stress, and adapt to changing work priorities and assignments
