LNS Research is Hiring a Demand Generation Content Writer Near Cambridge, MA

We are seeking a Demand Generation Content Writer/Editor to join our growing organization and expanding Marketing department.

In this role, reporting to the Director of Marketing, you will be able to take pride in contributing directly to our organization’s growth and putting your own stamp on our Marketing initiatives. Our Demand Generation Content Writer/Editor will have solid experience and knowledge in writing and editing copy to support internal and external demand generation marketing and communications efforts. You will:

  • Be a core member of the Marketing Team
  • Work closely with the different functional leaders at LNS Research

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Content Strategy – work with Marketing Director and additional senior leadership to conceptualize and implement content marketing strategies targeted at driving traffic, engagement, generating sales leads, retaining customers, and building brand awareness.
  • LinkedIn and other social media messaging – create/edit compelling messaging as the voice of the organization and also on behalf of top senior executives, consistent with LNS Research’s brand that engages senior executives (Director through C-Suite, typically) in Manufacturing Operations, Digital/Smart Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, Industrial Transformation, on a daily basis. Write engaging content geared toward specific personas (e.g., Heads of Operations). 
  • Eblasts – create/edit engaging eblast copy with a strong call to action that encourages CTR and conversions among various key audiences: prospects, members, and vendors.
  • Internal Team Member content advising/review – work regularly with senior leadership, as well as advise our Research and Sales Teams to create/edit/review external digital copy that is effective and encourages commentary/responses/action.
  • Content Collaboration - work with research team to keep up-to-date on latest thought leadership and research results. Coordinate with marketing and sales to maintain consistent messaging across all marketing content. Work with graphic design to create visual elements to increase content engagement. 
  • SEO – apply SEO best practices to our content and share this knowledge across the LNS Research team for continuous improvement. Keep up-to-date with important changes to main social media platform algorithms and HubSpot. 
  • Sales Collateral – develop copy that aligns with the buyer's journey. Assist in the development of compelling digital sales collateral, including but not limited to email templates, PowerPoint presentations, prospectuses, event collateral, and more.
  • Advertising copy – Create results-driven paid social and other advertising copy as needed. 
  • Website copy – create/edit website copy for continuous improvement opportunities that engages new and existing visitors and results in booked strategy sessions. 
  • Social Media Calendar – plan and maintain full rolling calendar pipeline of social media content.
  • Publishing Assets Editing – serve as a second editor within the Marketing Team for review of all published assets to ensure professional deliverables and optimize reader engagement. 
  • Messaging – work with Marketing Director to conduct ongoing, scheduled updates to our core messaging for consistent branding and optimal engagement. 
  • Metrics – work with Digital Marketing Specialist on content measured results to evaluate strategy and drive continuous improvement. Monitor and increase quality content engagement (comments/likes/shares), click-through-rate, conversion rate, and followers/visitors.

Required Skills:

  • Strong writing and editing abilities
  • Demonstrated LinkedIn expertise in content creation and engagement
  • Experience working with and writing for high-level senior executives
  • Expertise in LinkedIn posting and commentary
  • Up-to-date knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Extremely detail-oriented in proofreading and fact-checking
  • Thrives in high-pressure situations and can meet tight deadlines on a regular basis
  • Ability to manage short-term deliverables within a long-term strategy
  • Effective communication skills verbal, written and interpersonal
  • Ability to work in a remote team environment
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Paid social knowledge
  • Excellent project and time management skills
  • Coaching/training and presentation skills
  •  Manufacturing/engineering/technical industry experience

Education and Experience 

  • 5-7 years of results-proven demand generation content creation required
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or other industry relevance
  • Experience with HubSpot
  • Experience in Industrial/Manufacturing space highly preferred

This is a virtual role. Candidates must be in the USA only. Minimal travel, as business needs require. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
