Engineering Analyst II

POSITION SUMMARY

Enter customer Bill of Materials and Approved Vendor List in Macola ERP for new products, including engineering changes, part substitutions, and related engineering documentation requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Read and interpret customer documentation, specifications, prints and bills of materials for purchasing and manufacturing the electronic assemblies and make part recommendations for changes necessary for purchasing and manufacturing the assemblies.
• Organize client documentation per corporate guidelines.
• Responsible for processing AVLs (Alternate Vendor List), Non-Cancelable-Non-Returnable (NCNR), Engineering Change Order/Notice (ECO/ECN), Alternate Source Requests (ASR), and Deviation documentation as required.
• Responsible for managing PCB approvals, ensuring accuracy and timely responses with board houses, clients; members of Purchasing, Sales, and Process Engineering.
• Confer with appropriate personnel regarding customer documentation to ensure manufacturability, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Communicate concise detail to internal business units, clients, and member of our supply-chain to implement changes and validate.
• Utilize tools to produce conflict-mineral reports, RoHS XX, Reach certificate of compliance.
• Maintain a target of less than 48-hours in queue for Engineering workflow tasks.
• Statistical Process Control report generation.
• New Product Introduction (NPI) champion.
• Coordinate communication between Process Engineering/Engineering and external business partners per guidelines. (i.e. board houses, stencil houses)

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate degree preferred, or 1-3 years’ experience as an Engineering Analyst.
• Electronic Manufacturing background preferred.
• Ability to analyze.
• This position requires a high level of organization skills.
• Capable of analyzing and identifying differences in Bill of Materials (BOM) to implement necessary changes.
• Ability to work required overtime to support internal needs and requests from our customers.

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand and/or sit for long periods of time.
• High level of computer knowledge/experience using Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office format to be able to adapt to other programs required for this position.
• Assist Manufacturing as required by Management.
• The person we are looking for must have a minimum of 3 yrs. in Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) experience or we will not consider.
