Job Summary:

The Heavy Equipment Crew Lead is a full-time, year-round position and is based out of Gardiner, MT. This position is responsible for assisting with supervision, implement planned and scheduled workload for repair and maintenance projects. Responsibilities

  • Implement planned and scheduled workload for repair and maintenance of concrete walkways, parking areas, snow removal, snow poling, hazard tree removal, and domestic utility repairs, i.e. water, sewer, electrical, as well as other tasks.
  • Assist with implementing the proper care, maintenance and security of all assigned equipment and tools.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure the safe transportation of materials and equipment.
  • Ensure quality and professional work is completed.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure sure the crew is complying with all current related codes and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Must be proficient in supervising personnel in accordance with all Xanterra policies and procedures.
  • Must be proficient in the knowledge about the operation and safety with heavy equipment, tractor-trailers, bobcats, snow blowers and other tools and equipment common to the trade.
  • General knowledge of domestic utility repair work, i.e. water, sewer, electrical.
  • General knowledge of placing concrete and asphalt patching.
  • General knowledge of staining, i.e. bumper log finishing.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and possess a current, valid, Class A CDL license with a good driving record. This position will also be subject to required DOT drug and alcohol testing.

Physical Requirements include:

  • Must be capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 70 pounds.
  • Must possess physical stamina to withstand heavy labor related to work in an outside environment.
  • Must be able to walk long distances over uneven terrain and climb stairs and ladders in all types of weather conditions.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, and crawl for extended periods of time as required.
