We operate 9 lodging facilities with over 2,000 guest rooms across 6 locations throughout Yellowstone. Guest accommodations include cabins and hotel rooms ranging from rustic to modern. We’re hiring a Canyon Campground Manager to Live. Work. Explore. this summer in iconic Yellowstone National Park!

Job Summary: The Campground Manager is often responsible for providing the first face-to-face impression to our guests and ensure they are given accurate and in-depth information about their accommodations and the park.

The Details:Position Type: SeasonalSeason Dates: ASAP - Septemeber 16th, 2024Pay: $825-$900 weekly Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Resolve guest relation problems skillfully with willingness and desire to understand a guest's viewpoint and make any necessary billing adjustments so that the guest is satisfied when they leave.
  • Assist the Assistant Campground Manager and Lead Attendant(s) in providing constructive feedback, HIGs, and documentation when needed to the staff
  • Oversee accounting procedures: proper bank storage, accurate cashier reports, cash drops, and handling of payments and refunds on the Lodging Management System.
  • Ensure each Guest Service Agent is properly trained to deliver efficient, effective service to guests and does whatever it takes to ensure that guests are satisfied with their stay.
  • Regulate shift coverage for optimum effectiveness by scheduling staff according to business levels and labor standards.
  • Become familiar with and be able to carry out emergency fire evacuation and safety procedures as needed and attend meetings where required.
  • Complete payroll reports on a daily/weekly basis for all front desk personnel.
  • Provide managers on location with a weekly occupancy forecast to enable them to plan staffing and supply needs for the following week.
  • Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate improvement and improved working relationships.
  • Provides continuous verbal performance feedback, coaching as needed for employee performance improvement. Completes documentation of coaching and disciplinary action in accordance with company policy. Provides written feedback using HIGs according to company policy.

Qualifications

Requirements Include:

  • Human relation skills. Must be a "people-person" who thrives on public contact.
  • Performance management skills and the ability to supervise employees.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of CRT keyboard and printer operation.
  • Knowledge of Lodging Management Systems computer programs.
  • Ability to deal with guests when they are angry or upset.
  • Ability to work quickly and thoroughly when under pressure while remaining flexible and open to changes in procedures.
  • Knowledge of park facilities, activities, and features.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple situations.
  • Strong organizational, administrative, sales and accounting skills.

Physical Requirements Include:

  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching outward and above the shoulder for up to eight hours per shift.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
