Our award-winning design firm, located in Annapolis, MD is seeking an Accounts Receivable Associate to join our dynamic Accounting Team.

• Work with AR and Designers for entry of Sales Orders and create POs with accuracy
• Process pick-up returns
• Invoicing of clients’ orders in accounting program by charging lines on appropriate dates
• Create and update account summaries for residential clients
• Apply all checks and cash that come in to the company
• Email designers daily notifying of payments received from their clients
• Prepare daily deposit and add payment detail
• Post builder fees in accounting program including builder lease billings
• Run Balance Due and Pending reports for monthly meeting with designers
• Run Gross Profit reports as requested
• Maintain the AR open and closed sales order file cabinet
• Assist with preparation of Market POs
• Help with model pickups
• Review Residential client proposals for content and calculations
• Reconciling monthly bills
• General filing and document tracking
• Invoicing and payment processing
• Cover phones during lunch and fill in at the front desk when needed
• Help with inventory at the warehouse when needed

Qualifications: Candidates must have at least 5 years of professional experience in an office environment. This position requires the ability to multi-task, attention to detail and completing high priority tasks in an efficient manner. Applicants must be proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and the ability to learn new technologies. Experience with inventory control software and accounting experience, preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field, preferred. Interest in the interior design field, preferred.
