Interim HealthCare is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Step Down Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Charlottesville, Virginia. This is a full-time, night shift contracted position with a pay rate of $49 per hour.  You must have at least 2 years of recent and relevant experience.

Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions and vital signs
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on their illness, medications, and aftercare instructions
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
- Monitor and document patients' progress and responses to treatments
- Assist with discharge planning and ensure patients are adequately prepared for the transition to a lower level of care
- Adhere to all healthcare and safety regulations and protocols
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia
- Minimum of 2 year of recent experience as a Step Down in a hospital setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
