Overview

Job Purpose

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (ICE) presents a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and business challenges in the financial technology sector. ICE team members work across departments and traditional boundaries to innovate and respond to industry demand. 

As the Senior Director of Financial Systems, you will lead our financial systems strategy, implementation, and optimization efforts. You will be responsible for overseeing the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our financial systems to ensure they effectively support our finance and accounting functions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for the company's financial systems, including ERP, accounting software, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting tools. Oversee financial system security, access, configuration, and compatibility.
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and integration of financial systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within financial systems.
  • Oversee the accuracy, integrity, and security of financial data within systems, implementing best practices for data governance and management.
  • Foster strategic partnerships and manage relationships with third-party vendors and consultants, ensuring effective delivery of services and solutions.
  • Build, retain and mentor a high-performing team of financial systems professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.
  • Develop and execute a long-term roadmap for financial systems, aligning with business objectives and evolving industry standards.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with financial systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and business leaders, to understand their requirements and priorities, and to effectively communicate system capabilities and limitations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in financial systems, and recommend innovative solutions to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in finance, accounting, or IT roles. 
  • 5 years of experience in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex financial system implementations and optimizations.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, controls, and regulations.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle, NetSuite) and other financial software applications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive change effectively.

Schedule

This role is on-site in either our Jacksonville, FL or Atlanta, GA office.
