Inter-Connect Employment Services is Hiring a Shipping Clerk Near Quincy, IL

HIRING NOW for a Shipping Clerk! Opportunity for a Direct Hire!

The hours for the Shipping Clerk are Monday - Friday from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

The pay rate for the Shipping Clerk is $20.00 to $24.00 per hour based upon skills and qualifications.

The primary responsibilities will be to process all necessary documentations related to outbound and inbound freight loads and follow necessary records retention policy related to these transportation documents.

Essential Functions for the Shipping Clerk Include:

  • Work with carrier drivers to complete paperwork and receive loads including bills, manifest and all truck orders.
  • Arrange for carriers via fax/email/phone for pick-up and delivery.
  • Reprint pick list when necessary and adjust accordingly.
  • Processes pack detail for various products/orders.
  • Maintains files for all documents created (i.E.E. BOLD, manifests, etc.)
  • Create and verify any custom documents needed for international shipments.
  • Provide administrative support for department as needed as well as performs special projects as assigned by Supervisor.

Minimum Required Qualifications for the Shipping Clerk Include:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Shipping Clerk or other relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems is required.
  • Must have a successful track record of interacting with customers, vendors or internal/external staff.
  • Personal chemistry and characteristics to work effectively in teams and collaborate with co-workers.
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office.
  • Able to use logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Solid work history is required to be considered.
