Integrity Staffing has an exciting job opportunity for an EHS Representative in Mayport, Florida! SUMMARYWith minimum supervision, the EHS Representative should be able to provide Environmental, Health and Safety guidance and support to the workforce by executing tasks assigned by EHS management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIESAssists with shipboard safety walk thru inspection minor corrections identified by the EHS Inspector for on- and off-site vessels as required daily.

Assists in inspections and maintenance of fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, and ear plug dispensing stations and similar, as assigned by EHS Management.

Verifies Industrial lift Equipment spot checks for licenses and ODCL (Operator Daily Check List) completion. Participates in training eventsLearn safety codes and standards, accident prevention principles, and their application to industrial operations;

to learn techniques of making field inspections, conducting investigations, and identifying hazards; and other relevant skills for EHS development.

Establish a close working relationship and communicate with department / ship manager on a regular basis.Able to identify / locate various compartments on board vessels.

Must be able to gain access to government facilities.Must have current driver’s license.Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English in both oral and written applications in order to successfully interact with management and employees.

Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.Regular, reliable onsite attendance is an essential function of this job.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSTypically has a High School diploma or GED PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to access all Navy installations and other shipyards.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee must be able to enter confined spaces, work at heights and in confining or restricted spaces aboard vessels under construction / repair.

Daily inspections require entering confined spaces, climbing ladders, working at heights, walking on scaffolding, observing use of tools and operation of equipment / machinery.

Physical dexterity must allow for bending, reaching, climbing, crawling, and working on ladders and scaffolding. Must be physically able to walk to all yard locations.

Must be able to handle stressful situations. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of weight. Visual abilities required include close, distance and peripheral vision, depth perception and color recognition.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to vapors, gases, dust, welding / burning fumes, and smoke.

Must be able to spend up to 90% of time in an outdoor shipyard environment in all climates. The noise level is usually moderate to extremely noisy 90% of the time, which may include sirens, horns, chipping, and hammering.

May be required to travel for company business. A vision exam is required every ten (10) years to ensure : Natural or corrected near-distance visual acuity in at least one eye able to read the J-1 letters on Standard Jaeger Test Chart, or equivalent, at a distance of not less than : 12 inches (30 cm) with one or both eyes, corrected or uncorrected.

Color perception using the Ishihara Test or the Farnsworth D-15 Test. If a candidate does not pass the Red / Green Sensitive Ishihara Test, the candidate shall take the Farnsworth D-15 Test.

If the individual does not pass the Farnsworth D-15 Test, the inspector must be evaluated by a licensed medical practitioner to provide the necessary data to determine the inspector’s color perception.

Individuals certified after an evaluation by a licensed medical practitioner shall only be certified to perform inspection work that is within the inspector’s color perception capability.

The examinations required by above shall be administered by, or under the cognizant of, a licensed medical practitioner and documented on the vision test record.

ACCOUNTABILITYProduction, Repair, Maintenance, Medical, and Emergency Response personnel. Travel may include international travel.
