Surgical Coordinator duties:

· Schedule inpatient and outpatient surgeries for multi-physician practice

· Coordinate pre-testing and medical clearance appointments. 

· Obtains prior authorization for surgeries. 

· Responsible for surgical reporting to ensure proper billing.

Billing Duties:

· Review daily billing reconciliation for any and correct. 

· Send an email to Corporate Billing office when billing reconciliation is complete.

Authorization Duties:

· Verify benefits and eligibly via Phreesia, insurance websites and phones.

· Contact patients for corrected information and updated information

· Obtain Surgical authorizations.

· Acquire office administered medication authorizations.

· Obtain Radiological authorizations.

Requirements

· High School Diploma

· 1 year similar experience preferred

· Medical Terminology

· Microsoft Office Suite Experience (Preferred)
