Lead Software Engineer

Clearance: Active Secret

Location: Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD (Hybrid)

Support the U.S. Army Product Manager Electronic Warfare Integration (PdM EWI) the design, build, integration, testing, delivery, fielding, maintenance, configuration management, and sustainment of the Electronic Warfare Planning and Management Tool (EWPMT). Responsible for facilitating agile DEVSECOPS processes and discussions among development and customer team members to achieve optimum software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Apply computer science concepts and principles in the development of software for the applicable applications
• Apply in-depth knowledge of project management
• Design, develop, integrate, and test software for applications to meet system level requirements
• Manage large complex projects through software design, development, and test
• High level of familiarity with software patterns and modern design methodology
• Experience doing software development on Windows and/or Linux based platforms
• Software Planning (Development Plan, Build Plan, Sprint Plans)

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in software programs involved with code production
• PMP Certified
• Hands-on experience working with tools and technologies in, at a minimum, two of the following areas: software development, configuration control, testing, automation, containerization, orchestration, cloud services, open-source technologies.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C , Python, or Java.
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Knowledge of system design patterns and software development best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Minimum of SECRET (S) clearance with ability to secure a TOP SECRET (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility
• Familiarity with developing software to meet cybersecurity related software requirements/constraints
• Familiarity with network architectures and communication protocols
