Job Summary:
The Laboratory Assistant I is responsible for receiving and processing time-sensitive Laboratory samples, distributing samples to appropriate testing areas, and generating Customer test reports, ensuring accurate documentation.
1. Receives, sorts, and logs in samples for testing.
2. Distributes samples to appropriate testing areas.
3. Generates, reviews and/or maintains as appropriate outbound logs, records, filing system, laboratory testing datasheets, reports, shipping forms for return samples, receipts, Biological Indicator and supply purchases.
a. Performs data entry using Computer software.
b. Logs in consumables.
c. Performs record cleaning and keeping tasks.
4. Interfaces with Customers and couriers professionally and courteously.
5. Processes Biological Indicator sales to Customers, providing product pull and shipment.
6. Packages environmental monitoring plates for shipment to Customers.
7. Monitors inventory of supplies for Laboratory sales.
8. Contributes in a team effort by performing in accordance to all Company policies, GMP, Lean principles and other directives; supports the directives and decisions of higher-level management and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Knowledge of basic clerical equipment and processes.
