The primary responsibility of the EPIC Credentials Specialist is to perform activities in support of ECFMG's international credential services, including the Electronic Portfolio of International Credentials (EPIC) program.

WORK SCHEDULE for EPIC Credentials Specialist

This full-time position typically works 7-hour workdays, Monday - Friday, with a flexible virtual work arrangement.

SALARY for EPIC Credentials Specialist (Starting at $25 per hour)

Any offered salary is determined based on competency and skills, prior relevant experience, required degrees/certifications, internal equity within the organization, and market competition.

As an EPIC (Electronic Portfolio of International Credentials), the credentials specialist plays a vital role in facilitating the journey of international medical graduates toward practicing medicine in another country. The typical day revolves around performing primary source verifications, wherein medical credentials are thoroughly reviewed to determine their validity and the issuing authority. These verified documents are then sent to the respective institutions. The work is largely independent as most responsibilities are handled individually within the team, but there's also collaboration with colleagues from different departments to investigate and find the best information solutions for resolving applicant and client issues.

Essential Qualifications:

Strong Attention to Detail: You possess the unique ability to spot subtle discrepancies and ensure the accuracy of information.

Multitasking and Decision-making: You excel in managing multiple tasks simultaneously and can make well-considered decisions even amidst complex situations.

Basic Technical Proficiency: You have a basic understanding of MS Teams, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint making you comfortable navigating through digital tools.

Experience (Preferred): Prior experience in credential processing, medical education, or dealing with large volumes of documents is not necessary but beneficial. Bilingual speakers can excel in this role as they may review documents in foreign languages, though it's not mandatory.
