Bear Staffing Services is hiring a Quality Control Technician to join the team of a premier partner for custom assembly manufacturing and fabrication services as a direct hire.
Pay: $18-$24
Shift:
- 1st Shift - 12:30pm-9:00pm
- 2nd Shift - 3:15pm - 11:45pm

Job Description
- Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
- Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.
- Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
- Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
- Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristic.
- Other duties as deemed necessary by management
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- First Article reports, Nonconformance Reports, In Process and Final Inspection
- Calibration of In-House Gages and equipment which are not Master Gages.
Job Requirements:
- High level attention to detail to identify flaws in products.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet time sensitive deadlines and organize workload with general supervision.
- General math and computer proficiency.
- Must be able to work efficiently and effectively to achieve daily goals.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate with multiple departments to resolve issues.
- Experience in an ISO9001 or similar work environment.
- Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programing skills a plus.
- Solid understanding of calibration systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Solid understanding of quality systems inspection and testing processes.
