InSync Consulting Services is looking to fill a 13 week contract position for a Patient Scheduler for our client in SW Seattle.
Pay Rate : $24.00 / hr
Summary :
The Patient Scheduler is an office-based, non-clinical position responsible for scheduling appointments and
dispatching transportation to ensure our participants are transported to and from scheduled
medical appointments.
To schedule external appointments (outside of our in-house clinic). This could be with specialists cardiology, nephrology, neurology, etc.
This will include coordinating with patients, caregivers and family; and transportation to set up rides and / or services needed for escorting to / from and during appointments due to concerns with cognition, mobility, etc.
Responsibilities include :
- Good communication skills with participants, caregivers, family, guardians, DPOAs, team and external offices to ensure accurate appointments are well coordinated and met.
- Verbal communication will include in person, telephone, EMR chat, Outlook, Teams, GrandPad (virtual) or other means of communication.
- Work with team to ensure the best care for our participants.
- Coordinating with PCPS, nurses and dispatch transportation (may include other caregivers).
- Schedule appointments with in-network or out of network (in needed) providers.
- Schedule escort as indicated in participants’ medical records to ensure the safety of our participants.
- This may include external escort agency or in-house caregivers.
- Schedule rides to and from appointments.
- Utilizing Easy Rides application.
- Scheduling includes making reminder calls to participants, family, etc. and sending faxes to facilities (where participants live).
Preferred skills :
- EPIC EMR is what we utilize.
- Easy Rides application to schedule rides.
