Insurance of the Carolinas is Hiring a Personal Lines Account Manager Near Fayetteville, NC

We are looking for a dedicated Personal Lines Account Manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers.

Our team is rapidly growing and we are looking for a highly motivated individual to help us with our growth! We are currently seeking to fulfill a full-time position. Our account manager position will be responsible to provide exceptional customer service to our current clients and new prospects when they call in for assistance.

Insurance industry or agency experience and knowledge is not required but would be a greater benefit relating to customers in the beginning for this position. If you are familiar with account management software (CRM), have a flair for client communication and understand consumer behavior, we’d like to meet you!

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient on computers and with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated-strong work ethic
  • Capable of maintaining long-term relationships with clients
  • Persistent desire to succeed
  • Valid P&C Insurance License
  • Valid Driver’s License

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Follow agency procedures for processing:

a. New business

b. Direct billed renewals (for paperless carriers)

c. Cancellations

d. Reinstatements

e. Claims

f. Endorsements

g. Payments

  • Maintain a current knowledge of insurance coverage’s and exposures and their available markets.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of underwriting guidelines, rating systems and processing requirements for each Personal Lines carrier.
  • Maintain the AMS system records in an up-to-date manner.
  • Prepare customer or carrier correspondence, and internal correspondence as needed using the AMS system and in adherence to agency procedures.
  • Handle telephone calls and personal visits from prospects and customers pertaining to service in a timely manner.
  • Conduct coverage reviews with customers and recommend additional lines of coverage if the need becomes apparent.
  • Review all incoming mail, faxes, e-mails and voicemails the day they are received and respond according to reasonable guidelines set by manager.
  • Process all monied transactions in accordance with agency and carrier practices and procedures.
  • Work suspense list on daily basis to keep current and follow up with customers in a timely manner.
  • Print electronic correspondence from carriers and distribute or process as assigned by manager.
  • Able to work independently, operating from established directions and instructions
  • Comply with all company and Department of Insurance policies and regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
